Vista Inn is an independent guide. We describe hospitality properties in Canada with one fixed structure, then send readers to each property’s official listing. We do not take bookings, hold availability or rank stays for sale.
The categories every entry is read through: arrival, rooms, dining, public space, surroundings
Arrival comes first. We note how a guest meets the door: city street, resort drive, waterfront edge or open countryside. That first frame shapes every later sentence.
Rooms follow as a structural field, not a catalogue of bed types. We stay with the language the venue data supports — category, star class and setting — and we do not invent floor plans.
Dining is treated as presence within the property’s own programme. We avoid restaurant names and menus. Where the category is a resort or casino hotel, we acknowledge on-site food service in general terms only.
Public space and surroundings close the set. Lobbies, gaming floors and shared halls sit beside the landscape tags — downtown, mountain, waterfront, countryside — so the entry stays readable in one pass.
Why the entries carry no prices, no availability and no star-ranking of our own
Prices change. Calendars change. A figure on a guide page ages within hours. We keep all commercial figures off Vista Inn so the text does not pretend to be a booking desk.
Availability is an operational fact held by the provider. Publishing it here would require systems we do not run and promises we cannot keep. The listing link is the correct place for that information.
Star classes that appear in our notes come from the supplied venue data. We do not invent a Vista Inn score, a league table or a “best of” order. Properties are grouped by editorial angle, not by a private ranking.
This keeps the guide informational. Readers compare structure. Providers hold the transactional layer.
Where the photography comes from and what it does and does not show
Photographs illustrate the entry they accompany. Each catalogue card uses one assigned image of that property. Homepage sections use a separate, fixed set of images listed in the build inventory.
An image shows a building or site at a particular moment. It is not a guarantee of the condition of a specific room, table or facility on a future date.
We do not use photography to imply rates, offers or guest commentary. Alt text names the property and place. It does not carry commercial claims.
Unused files may exist in the project folder. They are not placed on pages. If a section has no photograph assigned, it is built from type, spacing and rules alone.
How to use the listing links, and why the official listing page is always the authority
Each venue card carries one outbound control: “Open the Listing Page.” It points at the exact URL supplied for that property and nowhere else on the site.
Follow that link when you need room detail, house rules or any operational fact. The listing page is written and maintained by parties connected to the stay. Vista Inn is not.
A link is a convenience, not an endorsement. We do not control third-party sites. Their policies apply once you leave.
If an entry needs a correction, use Write to Us. We will read the note and update the guide when the facts require it. We still will not take a booking on your behalf.
